How to clean your Cartridge filter

1.       Turn off the pool pump.

2.       If the filter is below the water level, isolate the filter by closing the valves on the suction and return lines.

3.       Depressurise the filter by undoing the air release valve.

4.       Remove the lid by undoing the locking collar or clamp.

5.       Pull out the cartridge and rinse off all debris with a garden hose and an Aussie Gold High Pressure Nozzle. Work from the top to the bottom, and get in between each pleat.

6.       Replace the cartridge into the filter housing, lubricate the O’Ring with Aussie Gold Lube-It, replace the lid and secure with locking collar/clamp.

7.       Return any valves to their original position.

8.       Turn on the Pump and wait until water squirts out of the air release valve, then tighten air release valve.  Run as per normal.

·         Use your pressure gauge as an indicator for required cleaning intervals

·         Cartridge cleaning should be done at least once per fortnight, possibly more often during peak bather times

·         Replace your cartridge every 1-2 years, or when wear is showing

Periodically soak your filters in Zodiac Filter Cleaner, for a deep thorough clean and extended cartridge life.
